The episode focuses on Sachiko's story this time. Both Sabashima and Shirota are given the tasks of producing a journal/magazine about the Sabashima Group and also for the Welfare Center. Sabashima can't just stand around watching his competitor for the next Leader seat taking all the pride and fame after they make a magazine about their group. So, he then hires Sachiko as their assistant, asking her to carry the cameras around as they snap pictures for the mag.
Meanwhile, Sachiko's mother appears after abandoning her. She now has a new family and little daughter. She wants to meet Sachiko to apologize properly for what she did last time. However, she doesn't intend to bring Sachiko back to her new family as her husband doesn't know about her past.
The Chief conveys that to Sachiko and it is her choice whether or not she wants to meet her mother after all these years.
What is this little thingy?
As Sachiko is reaching 17 years old, the center has no obligation to make Sachiko stay there anymore. However in the end, Sachiko doesn't meet her mother face-to-face because for her, as long as her mother is happy, it's enough for her.
As for the part-time job she is forced to do by Sabashima, although initially reluctant to help, she finds herself enjoying photography and secretly snaps pictures of them. Then, when Sabashima misplaces the SD card (because he doesn't know what a SD card is lol)...they decide to use Sachiko's pictures instead.
Thought:
The episode is really good! This is definitely one show that never fails to deliver and constantly up to par with previous episodes. Humor is always there, Sabashima's antics never gets old for some reason, the role is perfect for Matsuda Shota. In the midst of the comedy, there are some touching moments too, dedicated to Sachiko. Sachiko's relationship with the Chief are more than just a welfare worker and abandoned child. The Chief for all the 17 years, have been taking care of her even if not related by blood, to me, that's even more than mother-child relationship. They have a very special bond and finally, Sachiko gets more screentime and it looks like she'll be appearing more in the next episode too. Well, it's about time really because it'll be a waste for Narumi Riko to just appear couple of mins in every episode.
