Infinite Stratos [ep 8]

Summary:
The battle begins! Ohrimura and Charles against Laura and Shinono. Laura and Ohrimura fought in the beginning but Laura was too tough for him, until Charles came in. Charles definitely got the hand of the battle more than Ohrimura. Forgive me for saying so but Ohrimura's suit didn't even look intimidating. They all seem to forget the presence of Shinono, but not for long. She interrupted and began showering Charles with bullets.



Shinono gave her best and managed to take Charles off both Laura and Ohrimura as they fought each other in their own league. However, Laura suddenly came and just attacked Shinono, although she's her team mate. It was obvious Laura wanted the battle all by herself. Her aim of course was to defeat Ohrimura.


Shinono was short-lived, all because of Laura. Charles won easily once Shinono was distracted with Laura's attack.

Then, Charles went over to help Ohrimura battle it off with Laura. She finally revealed a secret weapon, Ignition Boost which sent a rain of bullets straight at her. *sorta like machine gun*


Both Charles and Ohrimura went on a simultaneous attack on her, causing her to weaken and finally, Charles took the honor of finishing her. The picture below can be misleading lol...see, just when Ohrimura wanted to slash her, his energy was completely exhausted, What a coincidence.



After Laura lost, she reflected on the reason why she was here. We were given some insight into her past, trained from young to battle. And the origin of her eye patch. Her left eye was used to transplant a nanomachine, with which, I think she can use to control the machine or something. So when her ego was hurt badly, her emotions got control of her own will and she morphed into something hideous.


That looked like a huge statue made of rock! And it's similar to Chifunee's robotic, as Ohrimura mentioned.


Trying to battle with his low power left, it took only one katana style slash at him to return him into human form. His machine was over the limit.


Charles transferred her remaining power to him seeing how determined Ohrimura was to finish the battle. Finally, he got rid of the hideous machine and Laura was released from the the heart of the suit.

So since both Ohrimura and Charles won the battle, the girls couldn't go out with him lol...but Ohrimura told Shinono that he won't mind going shopping with her. For that, he deserved a kick and he did get one from Shinono. Hilarious scene.

But nothing, NOTHING BEATS THIS BELOW.

The next day, Charles decided to expose her own true identity by re-introducing herself, this time, as Charlotte. So it was no secret anymore and realizing how close Ohrimura and Charles were in the last few days, even sharing a room and bath at the boy's dorm, Shen Long couldn't take it and charged towards Ohrimura during class.

Guess who came for rescue? Laura fend off the reckless attack and then...kissed Ohrimura!!!


Girls...Laura was just more daring than you all....



That was the most ridiculous, yet amusing ending of all episodes, so far. ROLF xDDD

Infinite Stratos [ep7]

The episode features a lot of battles. At least, more than the previous epis. Laura is definitely the reason for this. She mocked the other two who own personal machines, Cecelia and Shen Long. This casues both of them to get pretty heated up and decide to fight her together, although initially...Cecelia and Shen Long are thinking of 'exercising' for the real battle (of which the winner gets to date Ohrimura). The rumor somehow got messed up somewhere.





The moves are rather slick, no wow factors though. But I'm entertained. I have to say though, their robot designs are pretty awesome looking. I like how Laura's theme is black. Suits her dark demeanor. Her third generation machine beats the hell out of the other two machines. It's like warm up for her.



Of course, Laura wins without even breaking a sweat. Ohrimura and Charles joint in the fight to save both the girls from being hurt further. She'd have kicked both of their butts, if not for Chifunee's interruption. As we all know, Laura looks up to her former instructor dearly, so she backs off once the order came.



That haughty attitude suits her so much. Finally, Cecelia and Shen Lung can't join in the Inter-Class match because of the injury sustained, their machines are badly damaged as well. Then, the news come saying they'll have to find a pair for the match, if not, they'll be paired by lottery.



Now here's the interesting part. Ohrimura chose to pair with Charles, without hesitating since he's the only one who knows her true identity. Also, I think he's greatly afraid of the swarming girls who come and ask to join him. That leaves Laura, Houki and other girls. The day finally comes and the pairing by lottery results are displayed. Yes, you should be able to guess by now. Laura and Houki are paired. I really want to see how this turns out. We know Houki has a reason to win this match. She wants to date Ohrimura. Laura definitely wants to beat Ohrimura because of her grudge, she'd be pleased and looking forward to this day. While Ohrimura is not as skillful, I think Charles can back him up a little. Laura is one very tough opponent though. Till next episode!

Infinite Stratos [ep 6]

Where do I begin? Omg...this episode is among the best so far! Yes, I'm way behind I know because this anime ended already a couple of months ago, I just began picking it up again now. Anyways, this episode is amusing!

Summary:
Ohrimura began to wonder what pissed Laura, the German newcomer off and recalled his incident way before he enrolled in here. His sister, the instructor, forfeited in the last round of some huge IS competition although she was expected to win only because she wanted to rescue him. He was kidnapped for some reason still unknown. And because it was the German who gave her the tips of his location, she spent about a year teaching at the German Army IS. That was how Laura became her student. Basically, I think Laura was just jealous that she came back to Japan and left the much higher ranked institute in German. And all for one lousy brother like him. xD

That was one part. Now for the interesting part! I was right! I was right all along. Charles is a girl! She is ordered from her father, the president of the Dunoa company to disguise as a boy just to get closer to Ohrimura. Why you ask? Well, basically the company is on the verge of having their development rights taken back unless they can get some important/useful data to further develop the third generation IS.

LOL at the scene where Ohrimura finally found out that Charles is a she. Yes, it is in the bathroom. But no screencaps for that, you perverts! lol...so I'll just feed some other worthy pictures. Oh by the way, the usual bickering between Houki Shinono and Cecelia over Ohrimura is happening as usual.



What I like about this episode is also because of the IS robots! They look awesome. Especially...Laura's...although she's more of an antagonist now. I don't mind her though. She challenged Ohrimura, like I guessed before. But he refused to fight with her.



Look at that HUGE GUN...is it even called a gun?


Charles...protecting Ohrimura, obviously Ohrimura can't win Laura. Laura's IS is the third generation. Compared to his, I think he'd have been blown up to pieces if it wasn't for Charles to shield him.



With the addition of the special case, Charles...a direct competitor now for both of these and a whole bunch of other girls, I think things are really going to be very very interesting.


A great episode. I find myself just having this smile plastered on my face the whole way through. A lot happened. Things progressed pretty well. I can't decide who to root for at this moment. Just all of a sudden, there's this new Charles in the group. But I think Ohrimura treats her like a sister. Oh...let's not forget Laura, the antagonist. Remember the eye patch?

Infinite Stratos [ep 5]

 I watched this a while ago, and then stopped for a period of time due to some circumstances. Now, I picked it up again just for fun. Basically, I gotta refresh my mind on the story xD
In short, Ohrimura Ichika, is the only male in the institute where they learn how to control robotics. These robotics are mainly used for combat and 99% of the students are girls. Somehow, when Ohrimura went for the testing, he managed to activate these robots, known as IS (Infinite Stratos). So he got enrolled in there and constantly targeted by the girls. He meets his old friend, Shinono who got the same room as him! Despite the awkwardness initially, they got along anyway.

Then, they finally got things figured out and Shinono was asked to change room. She actually blushed! She's definitely in love with Ohrimura lol...and was kinda reluctant to change at first, but she held it in and stomped out. Only to come back couple of minutes later....and confessed!!! haha she did it finally! But only if she wins the grade level individual tournament next month. Then rumor began to spread out that if anyone wins the tournament, she can be Ohrimura's girlfriend. Things got a bit messed up.

A newcomer, Charles Dunoa. But sorry to say thing, he sounds like a girl! And he has long hair. Maybe long hair is a western fashion depicted in the anime. Apparently, his father is the owner of a huge company which is related to the IS technology in France.

Charles...was blushing a lot. In fact, TOO MUCH. For a guy that is. When they were in the changing room, he blushed as Ohrimura took his shirt off. Are guys supposed to feel like this?! lolzz

 Next second....

 Then I kinda thought Charles was a girl, for a second. But we'll know soon. They had group training and before that, they got to watch a demonstration between two of the Personal machines owners (students) and Yamada-sensei. Yamada-sensei was a soft-spoken lecturer in the institute, but she defeated, sent them both flying to the ground in less than 30 seconds.

 Behold the power of Dunoa IS!!!

Ohrimura being harrassed by a bunch of girls...this scene was...a bit ummm....

This is what happens when you're the minority gender in a school! Charles had more admirers though.

But the last person to get all the special treatment was Shinono-san ^_^ Couldn't get into the cockpit so Ohrimura had to activate his Byakushiki, a flying robot and carried her in.

EHHHHHHHH~~~~~ not fair~~~~~~ seriously?
I can't really stand how the girls all go gaga over them.

The next day, a new student, Laura Bodewig, arrived to join the crowd. Wow...she looked cool though, what's with the eye patch? Injured from some battle? She's from Germany, btw.

And the next thing she did was....

You guessed it! She slapped Ohrimura omg...poor guy got a slap landed on his pretty face without seeing it coming. Laura had this thing against him. She couldn't accept the fact that Ohrimura is  her instructor's brother. Ohrimura has a sister who is a famous IS operator and lecturer in the same institute.

Overall:
This episode was entertaining. Not one but TWO new characters introduced to give a more balanced crowd. The addition of Charles was a bit...ok, I admit I have some problem with his voice, I just thought he should be more manly or something. And he blushes WAY TOO MUCH. But it's good though, at least we don't only have Ohrimura to ogle at now. Then, there's this other new girl who holds a grudge against Ohrimura. It should be quite exciting to see her compete with him, I'd think she'll challenge him soon enough. There's also some progress between Ohrimura and Shinono.
