I've watched The Pacific before this, which was very recent, year 2010. This BoB was 9 years ago. Another amazing piece of trivia is it got a whooping 9.6 rating out of 10 on imdb!!! A must watch, definitely. I enjoyed The Pacific and that got only 8.4. So BoB should be much much better.
I'm gonna start watching tonight xDD
By the way, if you've watched ER, you'd know Dr.Archi Morris ....yup! Scott Grimes was in Band of Brothers too!!! I liked him in ER, lol...it'd be awkward seeing him without his beard in BoB, all dressed up in army uniforms.
BoB definitely a must watch especially to someone who like action,WWII theme and army. I watched BoB first before The Pacific and that's why I was expecting something more from it.
ReplyDeletePacific theater was the place where two foes almost unbeknownst to each other fought a rather bloodier battle than in europe.For each piece of land taken, the war of attrition proved too costly to US forcing them to use the 'dirty-bomb'.They wanted faster result and stooped to the level of Hitler and Japanese Empire.
Alas, history is written by the winner and The Pacific is a poor story telling.Watch BoB for more action, explosive,bloodier fight and less obscene.The way war should be told.

ReplyDeleteI was the other way round, watched The Pacific first and I thought BoB was better, in terms of storyline and battle scenes. At least they kept to the battles and not other stuffs like in The Pacific, all those love stories and such. Not necessary. But I do like the opening of Pacific more xD It's the creativity of the sketches that got me ^_^
